      ... I think the OP makes several good points individually but as a whole I think most everyone disagrees with his premise. I think it is a little like saying fast food isn't a good idea, because of course it isn't. But if I am on a trip and it is the only option, I'll eat fast food because ... well ... it's the only option. Test driving a car a few blocks or trying on shoes and walking 10 feet back and forth on a carpet doesn't really give us a great idea about how things perform in the real world. But much better than just making  guess.  ... There are so many negatives about a fitting as it does fine tune a specific swing in a controlled environment because you have the chance to adjust with multiple swings. Most can make a heavier/lighter, stiffer/softer shaft work for them after several swings. As pointed out we don't have that opportunity on the course. And my main argument is we face pressure that causes tension both mentally and physically facing a shot with hazards when we know it counts and we don't have that pressure during a fitting. But the same can be said about a QB wearing a Yellow "Do NOT hit the QB" vest during practice that really doesn't simulate a game. But still much better than not practicing.  ... Of course it would be much better for a fitter to follow someone for 18 holes on multiple days on an empty course, and find the heads/shafts that work best when actually playing golf.  But of course that is impractical and unaffordable for anyone other than Bezos and Zuckerberg. ... It is a flawed system but it is still the best we have and I think any fitting has value for every player of every level.

      Hey all thanks, a little past the morning but then again it is morning, somewhere.  Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers - If anyone were interested I recorded a prayer service yesterday afternoon on facebook live - You could find it on Grace Lutheran Church and School, St. Petersburg FL. Like Tony we are in E, have metal hurricane shutters and our roof is less than a month old with all the Florida Bells and Whistles.  My contractor, who has remodeled the entire East Side of the house says we should be able to withstand 125 mph gusts - I really don't want to find out if he's right.   I'm currently the point person for my congregations Helene recovery and really the point person for this storm, too so I have to stay unless the entire county is evacuated.  I'm here to stay with my son and grandson - wife, daughter, daughter in law and grand daughter are in Georgia - where they should be.   It's been raining all day - this is the first round of rain that seems like a hurricane though - really vicious.  It is looking like the wind sheer is impacting the storm and the track will be south of us but that means everyone that just got done rebuilding from Ian are going to get it again.  😞 Stay safe all of us here - We really need to arrange for a Florida golf outing in November or just after Christmas.

      A while back, I always thought of Cobra as a little behind the big names but after seeing how their equipment  consistently performs well in MSG and other testing I am of the opinion that it is a quality brand.  Currently, I game an Aerojet LS driver with which I have a love/hate relationship (currently in hate mode) but I blame it more on a questionable fitting and my current awful swing.

      I have been playing cobra irons for probably the last 10yrs, currently playing the cobra forged tec irons, they are one of the most accurate irons I have ever used and easy to hit, I have no plans on replacing them anytime soon
